Fish Heads by: Dr. Demento
Fish Heads by Dr. Demento is the worst song ever made poetically. There is no rhyme scheme. There is no allusion. The majority of the song just says, “Fish head, fish heads, roly poly fish heads.” There is no real point to the song. The only poetic device used in the song is humor. When listening to the song, the voice is really high and annoying. There is actually one other poetic device they use, which coincides with the humor. This poetic device is personification. One example of personification used in the song is when they say, “Roly poly fish heads are never seen, drinking cappuccino in Italian restaurants, with oriental women.” This is personification because fish heads can’t drink cappuccinos with oriental women. These are the only two poetic devices used in this song. Other than these couple examples, there is nothing good in any way shape or form in the song poetically speaking.
